Alarm / Ambulance
In case of emergency, please contact the hotel reception immediately (key 9). When you need an ambulance call 0-112. Inform the hotel reception immediately about your call and for first aid/BHV assistance.
You can have a baby bed placed in your room at an additional charge.
In the center of Vaals there are several ATM's. The nearest bank is in Heerlen. For more information please contact the reception.
The hotel bar is located next to the reception. The wine bar is open daily until closing time of the restaurant.
Bathrobes are available at the reception for a deposit and based on availability.
The hotel has a closed and covered bicycle shed. For information regarding the use of this, please contact the reception.

Our staff will be happy to inform you about the various routes in the area.
Blankets / Pillows / Towels
There is an extra pillow in the closet in your room. An extra blanket, quilt, pillow or towel(s) will be brought to your room upon request. All bed linen is anti-allergenic.
You can order a cab through our hotel reception.
Camera surveillance / Privacy
In this accommodation and in the parking lot there is camera surveillance in the public area. Images are only accessible by the hotel management and the Dutch authorities. According to the AVG legislation we will carefully handle your data.
Car / bicycle and walking routes
Various routes are available at the hotel reception.
On the day of your departure you are kindly requested to check out by 11.00 am at the latest. You can use the Self Check Out via your Valk app.
You can hand in your room key at the reception desk when you leave. Would you like to make use of a "Late check out"? Please consult our reception for the possibilities.
All rooms have climate control, which you yourself can set between 18 - 24 degrees.
Any complaints and/or remarks can be reported at the reception during your stay or in writing to us via the inquiry form.
Conferences / Meetings / Parties
We offer extensive possibilities for organizing conferences, meetings, weddings and parties. An extensive brochure on this subject is available at the reception desk, where you can also make an appointment for a discussion with the staff of the Banquet Sales Department. The hotel has a public disabled toilet near the reception.
Do not disturb
If you do not wish to be disturbed, hang the 'Do Not Disturb' card on the outside of the room door (see also the point on housekeeping).
The mains voltage is 220 Volts. Universal adapters are available at the hotel reception.
The hotel has 4 charging points provided by New Motion. For a charging session, we recommend using the New Motion app.
All emergency exits are clearly marked in the hotel and equipped with emergency lighting.
A fan is available at the reception for a deposit.
When discovering a fire, please act as follows:
* Stay calm!
* Alert the reception desk immediately (key 9) stating the location or break the glass of the fire alarm in the hallway.
* Stay low to the ground in case of strong smoke development.
* Leave the building immediately via one of the (emergency) exits.
* Do not use the elevators!
For ordering flowers you can call the reception (button 9). These should be ordered one day in advance (before 17:00) and orders for the weekend on Friday.

Green & Orange Choice
During your stay, you will receive an email about various choices related to the cleaning of your room. You have the choice of 'Green Choice' or 'Orange Choice'. If you choose green, the cleaning will be skipped altogether. If you choose orange we will skip the cleaning, but you will get clean towels from us. If you do not choose any of these options, we will clean the room regularly. If you want extra amenities, you can ask at the reception.
By choosing green or orange choice we need to wash less and therefore use less electricity, water and detergent. Which in turn is better for the environment!
A small heater is available at the reception against a deposit.
Our housekeeping colleagues will clean your room every day. However, if you have the "do not disturb" sign on the door, a bag with clean towels will be placed in your room. Your room will not be cleaned on this day. You may also indicate your choice via the Green Choice email you receive during your stay.
Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel. You can log in by selecting the Valk-Free-WiFi network, then go to the internet browser. Here you accept the terms and conditions and can log in.
An iron and/or an ironing board are available for a deposit at the front desk.
Laundry / Dry cleaning
It is possible to have your laundry cleaned by a laundry service. You can drop off your laundry in the special laundry bag in your closet at the hotel reception before 9:00 am Monday through Friday (except holidays). Don't forget to fill out the form with your name, room number and indication of your laundry. There is no laundry service on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Delivered laundry will only be brought back the day after delivery in the evening.
Lost and found
If you have found or lost something, please contact the hotel reception.
Luggage trolleys are available at the hotel entrances. On request you can make use of our luggage service. We charge a fee for this service.
Any message and/or post intended for you will be held for you at reception or brought to your room. You can also drop off postal items (excluding packages) at the reception desk, they will be posted for you.
At the hotel reception a minibar box is available at an additional charge. The minibar box is equipped with various drinks and snacks.
You can park your car in the free parking lots. The parking lot is accessible 24 hours a day. We kindly ask you not to park your car in front of the entrance of the hotel, this is by order of the police and fire department. Parking at your own risk.
We accept the following forms of payment:
Cash, Pin, Van der Valk Gift Cards, Dinerbon.nl and the following Credit Cards: American Express, Diners Club, Euro/Mastercard and Visacard.
Your pet is only allowed in our special Comfort rooms. These rooms are located on the first floor (with terrace) and have a laminate floor. In our Disabled room, assistance dogs are also allowed. More information and our house rules can be found via Pets
Pharmacy / (dental) doctor / medical assistance
To reach a GP, dentist or pharmacy on duty our hotel reception is available (key 9).
Postcards, stamps and newspapers can be purchased from reception.
Documents can be printed and/or copied at the reception for a fee.

If you have any questions or comments you can contact the reception desk at all times. Our reception is open 24 hours a day (key 9).
The restaurant is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as for drinks and/or snacks. Breakfast is served between 07:00 and 11:00. Lunch is served between 12:30 and 16:30 and dinner between 18:00 and 21:00. Please book in advance.
From 08.00 to 10.00 am breakfast service is available in the room (please order the day before). You can order further room service dishes between 12:00 and 22:00. A surcharge of €15.00 will be charged per order. Press 9 to place an order. You can also use our order program Anna-Bel via the QR code in your room, or via your hotel assistant in the Valk Exclusive app.
Safe deposit box
You can keep valuables in the safe in your room. This is located in the closet. The hotel is not responsible for the loss or theft of valuables. Instructions for use of the safe can be found on the door of the safe.
Does your hotel room have a sauna? Eucalyptus oil is available on request at the reception.
Sightseeing / Tourist information
At the reception you can ask for information about places of interest. We also refer you to our information corner where you can select mini cards with various discounts.
Smoking is not permitted in the entire building. Smoking is allowed on our terraces. Smoking is also permitted on the balcony or terrace of your hotel room. The reception desk will gladly provide you with an ashtray. We kindly ask you to observe our regulations. If our staff discovers that smoking is taking place in a place where it is not allowed, we are obliged to charge an extra cleaning fee of € 250.00.

In your room you will find a television with national and international channels. Unfortunately it is not possible to stream.
Did you forget something, or are there not enough toiletries in your bathroom? At the hotel reception there are several toiletries available (free).

On presentation of your Hotel Kasteel Bloemendal guest card, you can make free use of the swimming pool and accompanying wellness facilities in Hotel Van der Valk Maastricht. A changing room and safe are available. You can also make use of towels. Bathing suits are required, it is also recommended that you bring your own bathing slippers and bathrobe.
